Delivery to an operating plant must fit around the work already taking place there. Access to the unloading area may depend on maintenance or production schedules. Allow time between delivery and installation

If the equipment is needed for a planned shutdown or unit replacement, please indicate this when requesting a quotation. It is necessary to distinguish between the desired delivery date, the admission of the vehicle to the territory and the start of installation work. In between these events, acceptance, completeness checks and preparation of equipment may be necessary.

Agree with the technical manager when the cargo must be available to the installation team and where it will be kept beforehand. The delivery schedule depends on confirmed supplier readiness and transport conditions. Allow for receiving checks and preparation before installation starts.

We receive equipment parameters in transport form

The dimensions of the operating unit may differ from the dimensions prepared for transportation. Ask the supplier to indicate the shipping dimensions and weight of each item, parts removed, and packaging details. For heavy or protruding elements, photographs and technical materials will be needed to evaluate placement.

For oversized cargo, Inlogistics arranges transport and the required special permits within the agreed scope. The approvals needed depend on the loaded vehicle and route. Check the requirements for the actual shipment rather than assuming every machine needs a permit or that one permit covers every journey.

We coordinate the movement to the transfer point

The enterprise may have separate entrances for freight transport, internal passages and areas where vehicles are allowed only by agreement. These conditions must be obtained from the specific recipient. We do not replace them with general assumptions about city rules.

Ask the site representative to indicate the unloading point on the diagram, provide the passage parameters and contact information for the person in charge. If internal movement is required from the gate to the installation site, determine in advance who will carry it out. Unloading, rigging and installation do not become part of road transport without separate approval of the scope of work and contractors.

Prepare the handover around ongoing site work

It is useful to appoint one coordinator from the enterprise side: this person will coordinate the warehouse, security and technical teams. Before the truck arrives, they must have a packing list, a list of cargo items and agreed terms of delivery.

Use this readiness checklist:

  • the passage and unloading area are available at the required time;
  • unloading equipment is suitable for each heavy cargo item;
  • space has been allocated for inspection and temporary storage;
  • the receiving team knows the labelling and batch contents;
  • the procedure for documenting discrepancies has been determined.

Inspecting the packaging does not establish whether the equipment works. A qualified specialist performs technical checks under the delivery agreement. At handover, match every package and assembly identifier to the list, including accessories and separate units, rather than checking only that the main machine has arrived.

For a quotation, also indicate the city of collection in China, the date of readiness and the required delivery window. If the initial conditions have changed, report this before the appropriate stage of transport: the impact on transport access and further actions need to be checked.

Questions about delivery to the enterprise

Is it possible to bring the equipment directly to the installation site? This depends on access and the ability to safely transfer the load at the designated point. A site diagram, vehicle access parameters and recipient approval are required.

Are you responsible for commissioning the production line after delivery? A proposal for road transport describes transport work. Installation, connection and startup of equipment are not automatically included and require separate contractors.
