Delivery from China to the CIS countries begins with the exact destination of the cargo. To make the quotation, it is not enough to indicate the region: you need the country, city, unloading address and recipient. Even identical equipment from the same plant may require different transportation conditions if one shipment is received by a warehouse and the other by an industrial site in another country.

Confirm the recipient before planning the route

If equipment is purchased for several departments, it is better to assign the packages to their destinations before the vehicle is dispatched. It is necessary to understand which components make up one set, whether the supply can be divided and who will accept each part. The documents required, labelling and loading order depend on this.

It is convenient to prepare a register: package number, contents, weight, dimensions and final address. For several countries, the recipient of each shipment is additionally designated. Such a table helps not to mix equipment for different sites and discuss transportation based on the actual configuration.

What information is needed from the Chinese supplier?

A catalogue photograph of a machine tool shows the product, but not necessarily how it will travel. To select a vehicle, we need the dimensions after packing, including protruding parts, the base, additional crates and separately shipped accessories. For large equipment, we request a drawing and the manufacturer’s transport requirements.

Before requesting a quotation, collect:

  • the exact pickup address and the supplier representative’s contact details;
  • a package list with the gross weight and transport dimensions of each unit;
  • description and purpose of equipment;
  • information about the readiness and possibility of loading;
  • recipient addresses and receiving requirements.

Oversized cargo requires checking the entire route

For long, wide or heavy equipment, more than just distance is considered. It is necessary to check the possibility of movement of the selected transport, route restrictions and access to the unloading site. Inlogistics will arrange for the necessary special permits and approvals to comply with applicable requirements.

Documents for one section do not authorise the entire international route. The required approvals are determined after checking the countries along the route, the cargo and the vehicle. We also establish in advance whether transshipment is needed and whether it complies with the manufacturer’s requirements.

What to include in your proposal

It is useful for the customer to have a quotation with clear boundaries of the work: where the cargo is taken from, to what point it is delivered, who provides loading and unloading, what additional operations are provided. If multiple batches have different readiness, cost and schedule are estimated to account for this difference.

The route does not necessarily pass through Kazakhstan just because the forwarder is located in Almaty. Transit countries and sequence of sections are selected for a specific shipment. Customs clearance requirements, cargo admissibility and the contents of accompanying documents are checked before shipment.

Is it possible to quote for deliveries to several countries with one request? Yes. Indicate the distribution of packages by recipient. We will consider each delivery as part of the general task, and we will designate the differing conditions separately.

Can you estimate the delivery time before receiving the packing list? We can discuss the shipment and your preferred date in advance. To agree a realistic schedule, the cargo specifications, readiness and route must be confirmed.
