Before ordering delivery of construction equipment from China, it is important to record which machine will actually be handed over to the carrier. The model name is not enough: the configuration, working attachments and separate accessories can affect the shipment contents. The sooner the buyer agrees on this information with the supplier, the more accurately it is possible to discuss road transport and preparation for acceptance at the warehouse or construction site.

Check the model with the actual configuration

Ask for a photo of the nameplate, the exact model designation and a list of included equipment. Clarify which parameters apply to the machine in working condition, and which to the version prepared for transportation. The weight and dimensions from the advertising catalogue must correspond exactly to the configuration being purchased.

Manufacturers can separately show transport diagrams and component parameters. For example, Liebherr documentation for a crawler crane contains data for individual transport elements. This illustrates the importance of model documentation, but does not allow solutions from one manufacturer to be transferred to other equipment. Request appropriate materials from your supplier.

Confirm whether the machine is wheeled or tracked, and its condition

Please indicate whether the equipment is wheeled or tracked, whether it is new or previously used. Provide confirmed status and readiness for delivery. If the supplier is aware of faults or movement restrictions, these must be described before loading is agreed.

The ability to move independently does not make every loading method suitable. The loading scheme, the suitability of the site equipment and the work procedure are determined by qualified specialists, taking into account the documents of a specific machine. On the customer’s side, reliable initial information, contacts of those responsible and agreement on the terms of the transfer are required; you should not perform such work following general online instructions.

Don't lose replacement parts in the overall specification

Buckets, working parts, individual structural elements and accessories can be supplied to the machine. The contents depend on the order, so list each item and how it is accounted for. If a piece of equipment is prepared as separate packages, they also need weight, dimensions, markings and photographs.

Make sure that the names match on the packing list and the purchasing specification. The wording “attachment kit” is inconvenient to check upon receipt. The list with quantities and factory designations is much clearer. Any changes to the transport configuration, including manufacturer-mandated removal of individual components, must be documented and reflected in updated transport data.

Agree on the delivery point and acceptance procedure

Provide the full address and point of entry, as well as the recipient's representative. If the equipment is sent directly to the construction site, find out who receives the main machine and who checks the separate packages. Prepare a procedure for checking markings, completeness and external condition with available documents and photographs.

Transport parameters and route are considered together. If necessary, we will arrange for obtaining the necessary special permits and approvals. The date of machine readiness, conditions of loading, acceptance and the permitting stage must be discussed before fixing the final plan. The rules for admitting equipment to subsequent operation and import issues require independent verification: delivery to the site does not replace these procedures.

Questions before shipping construction equipment

Is it possible to obtain a quotation using a link to an ad? A link is enough to start a conversation, but for a substantive quotation you will need confirmed specifications, shipment contents and addresses. Seller's photographs may not reflect the final contents of the shipment.

Should a removed bucket or other attachment be listed separately? Yes, if it travels as a separate cargo item. Include it in the packing list with its dimensions and weight, and match its identification to the purchase order and supplier’s markings.

Discuss road delivery of your machinery

Send Inlogistics your machine model, photos, list of accessories and route from China. Indicate the condition of the equipment and the supplier’s readiness for shipment. We will discuss the transport requirements and clarify the data necessary to coordinate transportation and transfer to the recipient.
