In an application for an oil and gas project, the word “Atyrau” can mean the customer’s office, receiving base, or a reference point for further delivery to the site. We clarify where the transportation ends

If the cargo is accepted by a base in Atyrau, you need its address, entry plan and contact information for the person in charge. It is especially important to confirm dimensions after preparation for transport. Removable protruding parts or a transport frame may change the final dimensions. The decision on acceptable disassembly and handling of the equipment is made by the manufacturer or an authorised technician, and the transport plan is agreed on this basis.

Arrange site access and handover

The recipient site can establish its own procedures for access of vehicles and personnel. Request it from the person responsible for the facility and provide the list of required information in advance. The very fact of organising transportation does not mean automatic access to any territory.

Before dispatch, agree:

  • exact handover point and accessible entrance;
  • person responsible for entry and acceptance;
  • the dimensions and weight of the cargo items to be unloaded;
  • contractor of unloading operations and equipment readiness;
  • documents for verification of markings and completeness.

Acceptance of heavy blocks cannot be reduced to marking the arrival of the truck. The recipient must be able to inspect the packaging and available items, verify identifiers, and record any discrepancies using the agreed procedure. Checking the condition, suitability and subsequent commissioning of equipment remain separate technical tasks.

To request a price, indicate the city of collection in China, the readiness of the cargo, the required delivery window and the scope of work. If the final site has not yet been determined, make this clear: preliminary discussion is possible, but the final terms will require clarification.

Questions regarding oil and gas supplies

Can I name Atyrau and tell you the address of the field later? You can start a discussion. However, the address of the facility and access conditions are needed to coordinate transportation; changes can affect the quotation and delivery plan.

Does obtaining permits mean offloading is also included? No, these are different jobs. The scope of transport, permit arrangements and responsibility for unloading must be recorded separately.
