Determining who actually takes delivery

The buyer, the party arranging transport and the staff receiving it may belong to different organisations. Before dispatch, confirm the recipient, site address and receiving coordinator. Provide a contact available during the agreed delivery window and clear instructions for vehicle access.

If the base receives cargo for subsequent transfer to another site, this should be indicated in the application. Delivery to the base and further movement have different boundaries. The proposal must indicate where the agreed transportation ends and which additional operations are considered separately.

We connect equipment and large units by identifiers

One unit may be shipped with attachments, parts and accessories removed. Ask the supplier to provide a complete list of packages and identify which ones apply to each machine or unit. A model without an identification number does not always allow one to reliably distinguish identical units.

For heavy components, the weight, dimensions in transport form and information about the provided attachment points are required. If the parts are placed together inside the box, this is also reflected in the supplier's documents. At handover, this link helps to transfer the kit further to its destination, rather than searching for individual accessories after unloading.

We coordinate loading based on actual condition

Please indicate whether the equipment is assembled, whether it can be moved independently, and which elements have been removed. For large components, photographs, drawings, and the manufacturer's handling instructions are helpful. Suitable transport is selected based on this data, and not just on the name of the cargo.

Inlogistics organises the transportation of oversized cargo and obtaining special permits as part of the agreed assignment. The parameters of a specific shipment determine the necessary activities. If disassembly for transport is intended, the manufacturer or an authorised technician must confirm that this is acceptable. Installation upon arrival is not automatically included in delivery.

We accept at the base, taking into account further distribution

Ask the recipient to prepare storage areas for major equipment and separately packed items. If the cargo will soon be sent to different areas, it is important to record which destination each package is assigned to in advance. In this case, the unloading sequence is coordinated taking into account safe placement on transport and the capabilities of unloading equipment.

Before arrival, check:

  • whether the expected equipment identifiers are known;
  • whether all separate components and accessories are listed;
  • whether the entrance and handover area are clear;
  • whether the unloading method and responsible team are confirmed;
  • how discrepancies will be recorded.

Acceptance should be completed by checking the received packages against the documents, and not just confirming the arrival of the main unit. The condition of accessible surfaces and packaging is recorded in an agreed manner. Assessment of serviceability, technical completeness and readiness for operation is carried out by competent specialists according to the delivery conditions.

If the base cannot accept all the cargo at once, please report this when preparing the shipment. Possible changes in the number of points, order or composition of shipments require a separate assessment. Unlimited waiting for transport or included storage cannot be implied without agreed terms.

Questions about delivery to base

Is it possible to deliver several pieces of equipment in one shipment? Possibility depends on the weight, size, condition and placement of each unit. Send a complete list: we will agree on a suitable option.

If a different address is needed after the base, is this included in the price? Only if onward delivery is expressly included in the offer. The additional address and transfer conditions must be agreed in advance.
